Motorists' habits

No matter what you do, you can't make this
Government happy.

First they tell you, you are driving to much, now they
say you are not driving enough, what do they want,
I know they want their cake and eat it to.
Well I guess some bodies pocket book is getting a
little thin and I don't mean the middle class.!!!
And they want you to go green.

WASHINGTON – Motorists are driving less and buying less gasoline, which means fuel taxes aren't raising enough money to keep pace with the cost of road, bridge and transit programs.

A 50 percent increase in gasoline and diesel fuel taxes is being urged by the commission to finance highway construction and repair until the government devises another way for motorists to pay for using public roads. MORE to the story
